God knows, sees, and hears everything. He made all of it and is not bound by any of it, so of course He knows everything about all of the things. God knows and loves you, and cares about who you are and what you do. I thought of something particularly convicting yesterday:

Jesus can hear what’s in your headphones.

Which brings about this point: Whatever you do, in private and even in your own mind, God knows it. He’s not maliciously spying on you, it’s just that He’s God so He knows. He loves you, so He knows.

God wants you to be loving and kind like He is. In the Bible He tells us to be holy because He is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16, referencing the Old Testament). God tells us to think on what is good (Philippians 4:8). When you think about good things, when you take inventory of and concentrate on good things, you will be more inclined to be good and to do good. You will become who you are in Christ, and act more and more like your Heavenly Father. Actions always start as thoughts, so watch your mind and heart (Deuteronomy 4:9; Matthew 15:18-20; Proverbs 4:23). Doing stems from being.

So I will ask this question: Is Jesus happy with what I listen to in my headphones?
