You don’t become a concert pianist by avoiding the piano.

You don’t catch a prize bass by avoiding the lake.

You don’t build muscle and endurance if you don’t exercise.

You don’t learn discipline without saying no to the lesser thing and yes to the greater thing.

You don’t improve your art if you don’t do something with it regularly.

You don’t gain new skills by never looking for things to learn.

You don’t learn more about God without Bible reading and prayer.

You don’t go very far if you don’t take any steps.

If you want to get better at something you need to learn how to do it correctly, and you need to learn how to consistently do it correctly. This means you’ll have to do it frequently and regularly. You need to practice. But don’t think that practice can’t be fun! You get to do something frequently and regularly while getting good at the same time!
