I was looking through some notes I’ve taken, and I found a section that contains notes on maturity right next to each other. I thought it would be good to share.

We all have to grow up, but we can remain immature for a lifetime.

Spiritual growth and maturity are self-paced courses. As long as you draw breath, you should be learning, growing, and maturing.

After these I found a list of a few evidences of spiritual maturity. Judging by the format in which it was written, it came from a sermon I heard. Here’s the list:

The spiritually mature do not confuse grace with license. (Galatians 5:13 and 1 Corinthians 10:31-33)

The spiritually mature seek to be Holy Spirit dependent. (Galatians 5:16-18)

The spiritually mature firmly reject the works of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16-24)

The spiritually mature actively seek and cultivate the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23)

The spiritually mature are cross-centered. (Galatians 5:24-26)
