God is love, God is hope, and God is mercy, but love, hope, and mercy don’t define God, He defines them!
Humans are all made in the image of God, but we are not all God’s children. We are only children of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
In Mark 2:21 we see that just like old garments cannot hold new cloth, the Gospel cannot be patched into any other belief system. In Mark 2:22 we see that just like old wineskins cannot hold new wine, the Gospel cannot be poured into or contained in other belief systems.
There is all the difference in the world between simply appearing righteous and actually being righteous.
Getting saved isn’t adding Jesus to your life, it is forsaking and turning away from all that keeps you back from following Jesus.
