God knows what you need all the time, and He will make sure you have what you need in life when you need it. Even something as simple as a nap and a snack.
In 1 Kings 19, the prophet Elijah has just been a part of God showing He was real and not the false god that the king had been worshipping and encouraging the people to worship (1 Kings 18). But he’s tired, lonely, and discouraged now, so he goes off by himself and tells God to just let him die. He’s had enough, and he doesn’t feel like he’s any better than those who came before him.
God of course does not oblige, and simply says nothing at first. Elijah falls asleep under a tree. He wakes to an angel touching him and telling him to get up and eat some food and drink some water. There’s a little cooked bread on the fire nearby, and a bottle of water by Elijah’s head. Elijah eats and drinks, then falls back asleep.
He is later awakened again by an angel, who again tells him to eat and drink, adding that he should do so because the journey ahead is too great for him. Elijah eats and drinks again, and the Bible tells us that this food sustained him for forty days while he traveled to a mountain to talk with God.
I’ll let you read the rest of what happens; it’s quite touching. Whenever you feel like you’re ready to quit, just let God know. Ask Him for help, because He’ll give it to you. Then you’ll see and know that God really does care and that you are on the right track.
