“Because I said so,” only truly works if you’ve had a pattern of trust beforehand. If “Because I said so,” doesn’t also mean, “Because I love you,” and, “Because you trust me,” then it won’t mean much at all. God often sets us up for loving and trustful “Because I said so.”
Studying the Bible can be like studying a language; the more you get into it, the more you will understand that you didn’t even know you were missing.
Nobody is perfect, but we should never use that as an excuse for our bad behavior. Sometimes we’re not on the outside what we want to be on the inside, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep working towards being better.
What is between the ears will be on the heart, on the tongue, guiding the feet, and accomplished by the hands. Our actions and inward attitude cannot be separated. How you behave is determined by how you think.
