I’ve recently been on a trip to Lebanon. While I was there I got to meet some believers in Jesus and worship with them on Sunday.

You can always tell when God’s people are worshiping Him, but I’d only experienced this here at home where I can understand what everyone is speaking or singing. In Lebanon there was some singing and speaking in English, but most of it was in Arabic. That Sunday we had already sung in English, and then everyone was singing in Arabic. I hummed along and had no idea what they were singing about, but I suddenly felt aware of the worship. I was aware of God being praised and Him being happy with it. We were all worshiping God together, and it didn’t matter what language we did it in.

Now worship in any culture or language isn’t a new concept to me, I had just never before experienced it myself. I didn’t understand the words, but I understood exactly what was going on, and I felt it. It was just amazing! I don’t know how to explain it, but I felt something in my spirit. I’m sure it was the Holy Spirit, but I just can’t explain it! If you get the chance, go to another country and experience the believers in Jesus worshiping there. It’s awesome!
