I was recently given the opportunity to attend a friend’s quinceanera. People said some very nice things about this friend and her family, and they prayed over her. I saw a lot of people there, and heard many of them talking about my friend. They’ve not only watched her grow, they’ve had a part in shaping this young lady’s life. It got me thinking about the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

The roots of a strong home are very important, and then the village gives more support for growing branches, sort of like a grapevine trellis. People banding and bonding together as friends and families is a very important part of growing and being human. This young lady and her family have had a great village around them, and it shows in this young lady’s life!
