I found something in my computer files that I wrote back in 2009. It was under the title, “Breathe.” I don’t remember exactly what prompted it, but after reading it I decided to share it with you:
Have you ever noticed how wonderful it is to breathe, to taste air? The cool rush as the air moves through your windpipe and into your lungs? And then you let it out, knowing that God is fully able to give you another breath. He gave you your first one, and He will give you your last. For some, it is hard to breathe. For others, it is easy. But God gives breath alike to both. You must breathe to speak, to sing, to move, to live. God knows how many hairs are on your head, and He knows how many breaths you will take. Each one is given by Him. So breathe, knowing that God’s grace is sufficient for each breath, and each day, as it comes.
