There’s a difference between being content and being stagnant. Contentment has to do with being happy with what you have. Stagnancy is when you don’t do anything with what you have.
Contentment comes with its share of moving resources. God gives to you so you can give to others. There is enough to go around, and you are okay with that. But when the resources no longer move and they just sit there, no one gets any benefit, not even you. It’s like water. It must move, and by extension give of itself on the way, otherwise it gets brackish, then it grows stinky things in it and no one wants it.
