Sin is fun. If it weren’t, we wouldn’t have such a hard time resisting it, would we?

But we often forget that the end result is not fun at all. Sin is fun when you start and while you do it, but by the time you get to the “rewards” it promised, you find those consequences are actually quite fitting for the wrong you committed. It’s almost as if that was built in, like sin is actually something bad by nature… Hmm…

That’s one of the reasons why God lets us know that sin is sin, and why He makes such a big deal out of it. It is a big deal! It’s bad for us! Regardless of which kind of sin you commit, you still end up having the connected consequences by the end of it. It’s like planting crops: Whatever you plant is what is going to grow up eventually. Sometimes the weeds you planted can even ruin the good things you’ve planted. Don’t sow wild oats when you’re young, or at any age! Like farmers planting food crops, plant something that will bring good consequences to you and those around you.
