Yesterday morning I wasn’t needed in the 2s and 3s Sunday School class, so I went to my age group class. We are currently in the book of Esther. We talked about the decree that Esther made to counter the decree that Haman (boo!) had made. Haman (boo!) had made a decree so that on a specific day, anyone could kill a Jew and take his stuff. Esther made a decree that said the Jews could defend themselves. Our teacher pointed out that this second decree was like the Second Amendment; the Jews had the right to keep and bear arms.
I think that’s funny. Agree with me or don’t, but that was clever.
