While thinking about what to write today, I came across some notes from a sermon years ago.
The Glorious Contradictions of the Wondrous Cross:
Immortality and Death
Love and Sorrow
Innocence and Punishment
Power and Weakness
When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the Immortal One died; He loved us so much yet met with and endured so much sorrow for it; the most innocent person to ever live was punished for everything He hadn’t done; and though He had power, He became weak for us. If that isn’t love, then nothing is.
