Words are used to express ideas, thoughts, commands. Words help us to perceive and understand what a person is trying to express to us.
In John 1, Jesus is called the Word. At different points through is life, Jesus said that He was the way to God, and the way to see God (Matthew 11:27; Luke 10:22; John 5:19, 12:45 & 49; 14:6-7 & 10; 15:15; 16:25).
Jesus is the Word the God used to express Himself to us.
