The kids learned about the Breastplate of Righteousness last night.
“Where does the breastplate go?” the teacher asked.
“On the chest!” replied one child.
“Yes.”
Another child piped in. “Over the belly button!”
Well, that is also where it goes.
But we talked about how the Breastplate helps guard your heart. If you don’t guard your heart, you are vulnerable and one good hit can take you out. Take a look at Proverbs 4:23. Your heart is the center. Your heart is very important and needs to be guarded and protected. Just like the state of your physical heart determines your physical health, the state of your spiritual heart determines your spiritual health.
