I Should Love

Sometimes someone will ask me why I do certain good things. Sometimes I ask myself. The answer is typically “because I should” or “because I love,” though the answer is really both, because they go together.

Love and moral necessity are both linked together. I should be helpful and kind because I love people. I love people, therefore I should do what is right.

How would I show love without a moral standard? Why would I live up to a moral standard if I didn’t love?
