Sometimes I just look at things and think about what intricate and neat detail God has put in it. Let’s talk about Jesus’ birth.

God in the Old Testament had said that the Messiah would come from the line of David and that He would be born of a virgin (Jeremiah 23:5-6; Isaiah 7:14). So Jesus was (Matthew 1:1-16; Luke 1:26-31).

Jesus was to be born in Bethlehem, which means “House of Bread.” The Bread of life was born in the House of Bread.

When Jesus was born, the first people to know were shepherds. The Good Shepherd’s birth was announced to actual shepherds.

Some wise men saw a star and figured out that it meant the Messiah was born. When God created the universe, He set the stars up so that this cosmic event would show His Son’s birth!
