A while back my pastor talked about keeping your life pure. God will give you all the help you need, but if you aren’t putting in the work, it won’t happen. You can’t let your life be clean, you must keep it clean.
He gave the example of a bathtub. You can’t let a bathtub be clean. You can’t just look at it and say, “Be clean!” You can’t just let it be and have it be clean. You have to keep it clean. You have to get in there and put in the work yourself.
So goes your life. You can’t let it be clean, you must keep it clean.
