Last night in church was our last lesson in the series on Nehemiah. Nehemiah had a vision for God’s people in Jerusalem, and God blessed him to pursue it. But by the end of the book, everything that Nehemiah worked so hard to do was completely undone. These are my notes of the lessons to learn from this.
You can only live one life, your own. You can’t make someone else’s commitment. You can’t keep someone else’s heart.
All lesser visions that are based on trusting in humans will ultimately fail. People will fail you. But God will never fail.
We must keep our eyes and hearts focused on Jesus Christ, and trust Him! (2 Corinthians 1:20)
