Losing to Gain

Often we need to lose one thing to gain another. Sometimes we need to make room for something else in the closet. Sometimes we need to lose weight to gain better health. Sometimes we need to remove an activity to have time to do a more important one. Sometimes we need to ditch a habit and replace it with a better one.

Sometimes we need to sacrifice the lesser to gain the greater. Sometimes we need to give up our rights to give someone else freedom. Sometimes we need to give up our comfort to help someone else. Sometimes we need to lose our lives to find them. But rest assured, God will see to it that these are all properly rewarded in due time. (Matthew 10:38-39; Mark 16:24-27)
