Writing today about another fun lesson from children! One of the kiddos didn’t get something they wanted, and decided to sit around whining about it. This dear child could have been having fun with friends, but decided to waste time complaining about what they didn’t have, so they missed out on Play-Doh.
So I got to thinking about how often we do that in our own lives. Say we want something very badly, something that might not even be bad to have, but we don’t get to have it. We could think about how maybe it isn’t something we really need, or maybe it just isn’t time to have it yet. But sometimes instead we sit whining about it and pining for what we don’t have when we can enjoy the things and people we do have.
God knows when it’s time for Play-Doh and when it’s time to do something else. He’s not trying to take enjoyment away, He’s trying to give it to you!
