I’ve been looking back on some old notes again. Here are a few that stuck out.

Prayer is not a monologue, it is a dialogue. You are in a conversation with God!

The responsibility of worship lies with you. David could lead music, Jesus could pray, Paul could preach, and you still might not worship. You get out of it what you put into it. Prepare your heart to meet and know and worship the Lord.

There is no idea place to serve God except the place in which he has set you down. The things which are perfect and ideal are reserved for Heaven. If you look for the perfect and ideal in this world, you will meet with disappointment. Serve God where He has put you.

Make the most of the situation in which you are. Make the most of it for God’s glory.

Times of trial and testing are often the best times for sharing our faith.

Sometimes when I say, “I can’t,” I must ask myself if I really mean, “I won’t.” Am I unwilling?

We have never been given the promise that bad things won’t happen, that we won’t be discouraged or disappointed, but we have been given the promise that God is our refuge and protection and help.
