When you get something for free it’s nice, but you often treat it like it was free. It cost you nothing so you’re likely to treat it like it’s worth nothing. But when you buy something, especially if it’s expensive, you’re more likely to take care of it because you know it’s worth and it actually required something of you. You don’t want to negate what you put into it.

Faith is like that. If you put nothing into your faith and if you do not invest in God’s plan for you, it will all mean nothing to you. But if you really believe what you say you believe you’ll act like it, and when push comes to shove you’ll hold on to your faith.

A faith that costs you nothing will ultimately mean nothing to you.
