Sometimes I come across things that are greatly obvious and greatly profound at the same time.

Avoid poor advice.

You can’t come back if you don’t leave.
You can’t return unless you’ve already been there before.

“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3

Great minds think alike, and fools rarely differ.
Just because you agree with someone doesn’t always mean you’re both right.

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. ” 1 John 1:6-7

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
(Excerpt from a poem in The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R Tolkien)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:13-15

You don’t have to prove others wrong to do what you know is right.

God did not bring you this far to say, “That’s far enough,” and leave the rest to you.

Has it ever occurred to you that nothing ever occurs to God?
