Have you ever met someone or a group of people that you connected with almost immediately? Have you ever met anyone who has enough similarities to understand you, but enough differences to bring out the best in you? Have you ever met people who are so refreshing that you feel like you’ve just had a cold drink of water on a Texas mid-summer day? Sometimes it seems like these people are few and far between, but when you find them they are an absolute joy!
This brings me to another point. Are you the kind of person that is refreshing to someone else? Am I the kind of person that is refreshing to someone else? When someone meets you or me, do they feel like they’ve just had a drink of cold water in the midst of summer? Do they feel like they’ve just had the best ice cream ever?
When you love others like Jesus does, you will be refreshing. It will bother some people, and they might not think it is refreshing. But some people will find that you are so different from everyone else that it is good to see.
Be a cold drink of water or a bowl of ice cream to someone.
