Often we hear of singleness and marriage as if one is better than the other. If you ask many different people you will get different answers on which is better.
But what if neither is technically better or worse?
Yes, one is technically better for each person specifically depending on the plan God has for your life, but in general one isn’t always and completely better than the other. These are just different paths that when followed according to God’s plan, will end up doing the same thing: bringing God glory.
God calls some people to be married because that is how they can best do what He wants them to do, and it is the best thing for them. God calls some people to be single because that is how they can best do what He wants them to do, and it is the best thing for them. Both are equally good and I would even say both are equally difficult, they’re just different in both aspects.
Singleness and marriage are not necessarily better than each other, they’re just different paths for each person’s good and for God’s glory.
