Last night the little kids started learning about the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17). This morning at my church is the beginning of a ladies’ Bible study on the armor of God. I’m looking forward to learning more about this!

In Ephesians, we learn what the armor of God is and that we are to put it on, to wear it. It is God’s armor for us. We are to put it on, and we are to put on all of it. Why? Because we are at war and must stand against our enemy, Satan. You don’t go fight in a war without the proper equipment.

You also don’t go without orders.

God is the Commander, the General. God is in the highest position of leadership in this army because it is His army. God tells you what to do, and you respond with “Yes, Sir!” and you go do it.

We as believers are in God’s military. A lot of us forget that we are indeed at war. You put on the whole armor of God and you don’t take it off. You follow orders, even if they seem monotonous or stupid. You are given orders with purpose and on purpose. God knows what He’s doing. God has a plan.

And God wins in the end!
