God is very patient and merciful. He gives everyone plenty of opportunity to repent and believe in Him so that they don’t die in their sins, so that they don’t end up being eternally separated from Him. But God must also judge and punish sin, so there comes a time when God must say that enough is enough. You don’t have forever, because that would be against the rules. God gives us all time to repent. He loves you, so He gives you time. But you can reject God one time too many. Just like belief is a choice, unbelief is a choice, too.
