Sometimes we are concerned about the “what ifs” of life. Sometimes we think of inconveniences and how to prepare if they happen. But sometimes we become worried with the worst “what ifs” we can imagine. What if something bad happens to me? What if something bad happens to my loved ones? What if I can’t do anything about it at all? It probably won’t turn out half as bad as I imagined, but what if it does?
My pastor often says to imagine the worst outcome you can think of, and then embrace it, because God is with you. Even if it turns out as bad as you feared, God is still there, helping you, holding you, and guiding you. God is there working it for His glory and your good. Even if it is as bad as you imagined or worse, God has not left you alone with it. He is there going through it with you. Don’t despair, do not fear. Just trust in God and His love for you.
