Sometimes when changes happen in your life, the things you normally do might slip through the cracks. My blog has been slipping through cracks lately, but I’m going to figure out how to keep going on a regular schedule (even if it’s modified) because it’s important to me. This line of thought brought me to another thought: We make time for the things we want to do, and we make time for things we consider important.
If you really, really want to do something, you don’t just find the time for it, you make the time. If you know something is really, really important, you don’t just find the time for it, you make the time. If you don’t have time for something, it could easily be that something else came up that had to be dealt with and you couldn’t help it, but if you consistently don’t have time for something, then that means you don’t think it’s important.
There are some important questions I need to ask myself when my schedule gets flipped around and changed: Do I still make time to spend with God? Do I still make time to read God’s Word? Do I still make time for the ministries God has put me in? Do I still make time for friends and family? Do I still make time to rest and make sure I’m not overworking myself?
Often in life, if you don’t make the time, you won’t find the time. Unless you purposefully spend your time, time will sweep you away. What do you make time for?
