In Galatians 6:2 we see that we Christians in churches should bear one another’s burdens. But sometimes we don’t let others help us carry our burdens, sometimes we have a bad habit of carrying burdens we were never meant to carry on our own, and sometimes we are unwilling to help others carry their burdens.

When you get someone to help carry something heavy, it becomes less heavy. When you have multiple people hefting it, everyone has less to carry all around. You can even pick up and move a building somewhere else if you have enough people lifting it.

When you carry something heavy, you are aware just how heavy it is. You might try hiding how heavy it is just so no one thinks you aren’t that strong. But if you carry something heavy for too long, even if it isn’t technically “too heavy,” it will end up hurting you. You’ll pull muscles and get really sore. Eventually you’ll have to put it down, and if you just give out, you might drop it on yourself or on someone who’s not ready to catch it. You have people who love you and are ready and willing to help; don’t struggle alone!

When someone else is carrying something heavy, you can see just how heavy it is. They might try hiding how heavy it is just so no one thinks they aren’t that strong. But if they carry something heavy for too long, even if it isn’t technically “too heavy,” it will end up hurting them. They’ll pull muscles and get really sore. Eventually they’ll have to put it down, and if they just give out, they might drop it on themselves or on someone who’s not ready to catch it. You love them and you’re ready and willing to help; don’t let them struggle alone!

Are there times when you or someone around you isn’t able to help carry something? Yes; use discernment to figure it out. But remember that there is always someone to help you. God is there, and if you ask He can send you people to help you in your struggle.
