God knows me better than I do. God knows what’s on my mind at any given time, even when I’m not paying attention, and even when I refuse to pay attention because I don’t want to have to think about something. But whether I’m struggling or whether I’ve got smooth sailing, God knows it. God can give me the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7), and He can help me stay steady and ready for whatever comes. God knows what I need and what I will need.

In fact, God knows me so well that He knows me before, during, and after my life on this earth. Which makes me think about Ephesians 2:6 where it says we are seated together in heavenly places in Christ. Is that literal or figurative? It probably doesn’t matter, but given that God stands outside the context of time and can see it all at once, maybe it’s both. Don’t built a whole doctrine on some random person’s musings, but we do know that God can see us at all points in time at the same time.

If God knows something as mundane as the number of the hairs on my head (Matthew 10:29-31), why wouldn’t He also know and care about everything else in your life? God knows you, and He cares about what He knows. He knows you inside and out. He knows you in positions of time that you don’t remember, and in ones that you have yet to know. You are very well-known!
