This year I’ve almost felt like I’m sliding past all the holidays into the new year. But I’m making a point to “get a grip,” so to speak, to pause for a breath and remember why I even bother with any of it.

While I don’t have to celebrate anything if I don’t want to, I find celebrating is a good thing for me to do. It’s a good thing to get together with family and friends, to encourage each other and spend time expressing affection and love. It’s a good thing to get together with God, to pause and thank Him for all He’s done, all He’s doing, and all He will yet do. It’s good to make time to get together and be happy. It’s good to pause and reflect.
