God gave us humans the ability to make decisions of all kinds. He even lets us decide whether or not we’re going to follow His plan and do things His way. Think about it though. The God who knows literally everything and who certainly knows the best way to do things and who should do them, He lets me say, “Nah. I have a better idea.” I would be quite wrong, but I can certainly make that decision.

But how often have I done just that? More often than I care to admit. Sometimes I like my idea a little too much. Sometimes it isn’t even a bad idea. But if God says that’s not the way to go, then it’s not the way to go. I could even gain a lot from my idea, but if God isn’t in it, then what good does it really do?

Again, God knows everything. He is perfectly good and loving. He understands things we can’t possibly begin to fathom. He knows exactly what needs to be done, how it needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and who needs to do it. He knows these things in intricate relation to every other thing that has been done, is being done, and will be done. In reality, the choice is God’s way or the wrong way.
